Supplements: Bingo Wings

"I hate my flappy bingo wings". I hear these words so often. Many women have excessive body fat on the back of their upper arms, the arms are not a typical fat storage site and the accumulation on the back of the arms tells a lot about hormonal balance. 

If you look on the internet you will find many articles telling you that you need to do exercises aimed at your triceps (the back of your upper arm) to get rid of your bingo wings. Exercises (not only the triceps but full body strength exercising) will help, but researches shows that main issue is hormonal imbalances. Research shows that under production of testosterone and over production of oestrogen will lead to excess fat building up at the back of your arms.

You may ask "how can women have testosterone? Yes women have certain amount of testosterone and men have a certain amount of oestrogen.

Lack of testosterone on your body is also a sign of lack of zinc. Zinc itself converts oestrogen to testosterone. If you want to solve your bingo wing problem you have to eat foods which increase testosterone levels and also contains zinc such as; flaxseed, avocado, salmon, beef, raw nuts, oyster, egg and garlic. 

Taking supplements such as omega 3, zinc, vitaminD3, magnesium, multivitamins all help to reduce oestrogen dominance, couple that with a good diet high in green vegetables and perform the right exercises (strength training supersets,high intensity-interval training) will help you to build your muscles burn fat and make you lose your bingo wings.
